Hi everyone so after coming back from PSi conference in Utrecht last week and presenting a paper as part of the Body and Technology panel, I have had some wonderful news: I have just been accepted as the PhD student to work alongside Simon Jones and Paul Clarke on their forthcoming project Performing Documents: modelling creative and curatorial engagements with Live Art and performance archives, based at the University of Bristol. The project will begin in July 2011 and will last until June 2014. Once there is some information online about the project I will be sure to pass it on!

Other personal projects to be initiated in the next month include:
Instability in Stability: a digitally mediated performance and virtually interactive archive running between the 8th June and 9th September 2011. The LAPsody festival in finalnd will host the launch of the Instability in Stability project, projecting the project with in the Theatre Academy Helsinki's foyage. Trans-apparent a living archive and performance installation to be presented as part of the summer festival in Falmouth between the 17th and 22nd June 2011.

And finally between the 20th and 24th of June I will be exhibiting the results of my year long exchange with artist/archivist Elena Oña as part of the Ferdynand Zweig Memorial Scholarship. International Exchange Helsinki: when the Theatre Academy meets Dartington!

As part of the Live Art and Performance Studies MA programme at Tetterikorkeakoulu (the Theatre Academy Helsinki or Teak) a new twist to the Creative Skills module has been introduced for the Finnish-based students. A collaborative project entitled 'International Exchange' is intended to widen the perspective of the students and to introduce different practitioners to other artists working in a similar field, in other countries.
A group of current MA students from Dartington College of Arts have been invited across as a collective to work alongside the Teak students. I will be joining the group as a fellow artist and collaborator.
Ideas and schedules are yet to be designated but core ideas and stimuli for collaboration will be centered on: encounter, collaboration, interaction and exchange.
